I need to make significant changes to the set of Wiki pages that I maintain. Partly because of important changes that Ubuntu 18.04 has implemented, and partly because I wish to simplify the process hugely.

I think that the best idea would be to:

Is this possible? If so, how?

  • Make a complete copy in a new unindexed area
  • Update the copy
  • Once the updates are complete, move the amended version over to replace the original

Thanks for your effort.

All wiki pages are keeping their history so it's always possible to roll back. Do you need more back-up capability than this?
