As the title states the Ubuntu Community Council election 2020 has just begun, I urge all Ubuntu Members to vote, many forum members may not know this but we have been without a Community Council for quite a long time now and while the community has done what it can to continue to operate there are significant issues that only the Community Council can handle for one such as most launchpad teams for example, the Ubuntu Membership Board and the Forum Council just to name two cannot renew there own memberships as a launchpad team and this has caused many teams to lose members or to stop functioning all together but most teams have been determined to continue to contribute and have found a way to continue to operate while waiting for the Community issues to be resolved, there are many functions that the Community Council perform so please everyone do your part and vote and together we can build a better stronger community.

The following is just a part of what the Community Council is responsible for.
The work of the Community Council, as it stands, is to uphold the Code of Conduct throughout the community, ensure that all the other leadership boards and councils are running smoothly, and to ensure the general health of the community, including not only supporting contributors but also stepping in for dispute resolution, as needed.
