When I click the "System" button, the panel shows up fine. When I click it again to close the panel, or click anything that doesn't launch a process (all applications, computer, system, etc), the panel itself jumps up like 300 pixels and stays that way until I click the panel on and off a few times. I'm using compiz/xgl, and the panel is on the bottom left.

This is the strangest bug yet :-O Does it still happen if you put the panel applet in the top panel?
I had the same problem. Almost stopped using the USP because of it. Seems that if you put the USP on the top panel it works fine. However if you put in on the bottom you get that problem. I had this occur on several machines as well.

OSX Icons Linsta3 (GTK+ Theme) And the USP

This only occurs on the bottom panel. If I put it on a top panel, the usual problem with the panel appearing consistently slightly below the panel happens, but not this.

Maybe I'll put it on the top then, until this is fixed. Glad to know I'm not just crazy though:razz:
This problem seems to be happening only recently. I am beginning to wonder if it has anything to do with the recent upgrades to compiz and csm ::confused::
I posted another thread about this yesterday not having seen this one - sorry.
I also am having the same issue as of 2 days ago.
It would appear to be compiz related, if I switch back to metacity the panel stays where it is supposed to, but switch to compiz and it jumps away from the panel again.
Whats the best way to get a hold of the latest tarballs of the USP. Is there a Source Forge website?
I say this because I have .33 on my labtop and this problem occured. And I have version .41 on my main computer and this problem occured.
I'd like to stay up-to-date. :D
Lastly, where can I find plugins for the USP, or are these listed on the Source Forge website.
ok, have a location problem here too. my panel is on the top, centered and not expanded. now, when i clik the usp button in panel the menu appears shifted on the left, screenshot attached.
actually the location where the menu is shown seems to be related to usp button position in the panel, maybe it should also check if there is enough place and if not open it on a screen edge.
