Here is something for you to try. I downloaded both "Automatix2 and Automatix Bleeder". Automatix Bleeder has "Beryl" as one of the few choices that are available.

I had been trying for several weeks to get Beryl to run with Edgy to no avail. With Automatix Bleeder, it is running perfectly. I have all of the eye-candy and everything works great.
