[SOLVED] Will Beryl be part of Feisty-Kubuntu's standard install?

Any idea if Beryl will be part of Kubuntu's standard desktop environment in Feisty? Or will we still have to install it through command line? I know Ubuntu/GNOME will support is by default, so I was curious if I can expect the same for KDE.

Also will KNetworkManager support WPA and Static(!) IP?

I could not find much on the web, so I thought there might be somebody out there who knows.

It won't. Compiz will be installed by default, but not activated by default.

Oh, Compiz then. But what about Kubuntu? Can you activate it using the graphical interface or will you have to do all this by command line again? Any idea?

In any Feisty Fawn Ubuntu distribution (Ku, Xu, U) you will need to install Beryl (and Xgl as the case warrants) yourself just like in Edgy. Sorry. Maybe Feisty+1 will have it, who knows?

Thanks, guys. Good to know. Had a brief look at Kubuntu's Wikipedia and it appears that you have to install Beryl separately. Looks fairly simple but I was hoping that it is enabled by default. Would have been nice to have a Live CD that could show Windows users on their own computers how advanced (K)Ubuntu is.

I'll have a crack at (K)Feisty nonetheless. Looks like an appealing option.

*ubuntu will have the desktop-effects package installed by default. This includes compiz. You will simply have to enable them from a gui interface off of system>prefs>desktop effects. Nvidia users will be able to use the restricted manager to set up their nvidia graphics drivers. Intel and ati drivers won't need to set up drivers.

Okay... This is the answer I was looking for. Thanks. Does this include 3D Desktop, wobbling windows, and transparency?

Sounds like kind of naive questions, but I have not tried it out yet... So I am a complete noob in that respect.
