taking a screenshot

hi i'm trying to take a screenshot of my 3D cube. how is this done. ty

well i'm using beryl and i can't seem to take a screenshot when i'm using the mouse to move the cube (i want to send a pic to my family to show off :P )

What version of ubuntu are you running K/X/Ubuntu?

If you are using Ubuntu just pressing the PrtScn button should do the trick.

If you are using Kubuntu go into the beryl manager and there should be an option for the screenshot command. The default is a for gnome so just change the command from whatever it is to "ksnapshot".

I am not sure about Xubuntu, I'm sorry :(

I do this, open gimp, in gimp file>acquire>screenshot there is a time delay facility, give appropiate delay, rotate cube and you are done. Even eith the regular "take screenshot" there is a delay option from CLI but I forgot the command.

This is how to take a screenshot of beryl 3d cube.

Alt+F2 and type: sleep 5 && gnome-screenshot

Wait 5 seconds.

gnome-screenshot -d 5

in terminal will give you a 5 second delay before taking your screenshot, use said 5 seconds to activate your cube and hold until you see the icon appear on your desktop & the save as dialog appear. =]

I did this a few days ago....I simply pressed the 'Print Screen' button.It worked fine.
