Hello, I've got Beryl 0.2.0 installed and am having a slight problem. I was going to post in the beryl forums, but they seem to be down at the moment.

Anyway, every time a new window pops up, it gets sent right to the back. This is particularly annoying for dialog windows in programs like Synaptic, or for any program that I want to open the preferences. But it also happens when I open a new window, it is sent right to the back. Is there a setting in Beryl somewhere that controls this?

This only appears to be problem in Beryl. When I went back to Metacity the windows came up on top fine.

Thanks!

In Beryl Settings Manager's General section set 'Level of Focus Stealing Prevention' to 'none'. That should solve the problem.. :)

Great, thanks! That worked like a charm.

"Level of Focus Stealing Prevention"..... What a convoluted name, hahah. =)

Thanks for the help. I have been attempting to solve this problem all morning.

This is one of my big learning curves with Linux; learning its nomenclature. Nothing coincides with Windows --- I understand there is a reason.

When it first made into Beryl it was just called FSP.. :D It took me ages to figure out what FSP is. (I still haven't found out why anybody would want to use it or why it's on by default)

I upgraded beryl too, to 0.2.0. The only problem i have found till now is that when I use 3D windows plugin and a window is laying in 2 side of the cube, when i rotate it the windows are broken. (see screeshot below) I searched a little and i found it is a bug (#1613).

Does anyone have the same problem?

Any solution?

Thanks in advance...
