Hello everyone,
I'm going to be installing Ubuntu soon. I'm assuming Ubuntu will support South African ADSL, so I'd just like to know how quickly / easily I'll be able to get Ubuntu online once I've installed?

Hello everyone,
I'm going to be installing Ubuntu soon. I'm assuming Ubuntu will support South African ADSL, so I'd just like to know how quickly / easily I'll be able to get Ubuntu online once I've installed?
That depends...
Are you using a router?
Are you using wireless to connect to the router?
Yeah,
Using a Telkom 5102G router, but not using the WiFi, using normal ethernet cable...
Then you're all set. Shouldn't be a problem in the slightest.
If you *do* have a problem come and ask here.
Otherwise, good luck and have fun.
Sweet!
Then my next post here should be from my Ubuntu install!!
Thanks for the help!
No problem ;)
Eish.... That was hard....
I ran the install cd and adsl was up!! :D I'm *very* impressed so far! Don't remember being able to browse the web while windoze installed! ;)
Fantastic!
Welcome, we hope you enjoy your stay ;)
