I just installed beryl on my computer to take advantage of my 7800GT Nvidia GFX card, so I followed the How-To in this forum and it worked perfectly. I got in all installed but now that beryl is working I have a new problem. For some reason I don't have those three buttons on the top right corner of my firefox. Also I am missing the header bar and there is a huge gap between firefox and the bar at the bottom. I tried looking through beryl manager but couldn't find anything. If anyone knows how to fix it please do tell. Thanks in advance.
No min, max, close buttons

This is one of the many bugs in Beryl. I had the same problem. There is a way to correct the problem, but it appeared to be very involved. Too much so for a newbie like me.
To correct my problem, I uninstalled Beryl and installed "Automatix Bleeder". This is an extension of Automatix2. One of the few programs that it (AB) installs is Beryl. I installed Beryl using it and for the first time saw Beryl the way it should look.
The only problem that I have is Swiftfox2 is running much more slowly. Beryl does everything that I have read that it should do, however.
I'm a newbie, but here's what I do..
I had the same problem using compiz. I just open the terminal and type [gnome-window-decorator --replace]. This affected performance for me, but I'm on a laptop with shared video. Good luck:-)
Thanks for the link Paul.
