Please post your ideas as to how we can best serve the Ubuntu community in their hardware problems.

Personally, I am thinking of taking a leaf from the Beginners group and starting a wiki with links, etc. Also, I am thinking of making it educational, so if we display a command, we also say what that command does, so that it's not just an issue of copy and paste.

Anyone here wants to comment about it? Or give anything different? I'm all ears..go ahead. :guitar:

I've started working on the beginners wiki hardware section, could we focus on providing the beginners hardware section of the wiki to start with? Then if need be think about a more advanced section regarding hardware if the need arises.

I am working on an error guide for the installer, plan to post it next week. While we have several installations guide there is no explanation to the messages people receive if they click to the wrong place, I think it would be useful.

Not to state the obvious ...

But start looking for FAQ on the ABT ...

IMO FAQ includes networking (wireless and winmodems), video cards, and USB drives.

I know some of this has been started.

EDIT : ABT = Absolute Beginners FAQ
