hi, i'm on an imac 20" c2d with ubuntu edgy, i was wondering if anybody managed to get the internal mic or even the line in to work. i've tried different standard configurations but the only thing i get is hiss. is there a different driver or some options i don't get?
Update: i booted from the sabayon live dvd (wich has kde) and managed to have it work. there is a difference in the kde mixer and gnome mixer: in the "switches" tab there is one more called "mic in as output" (next to the other 2: line in as output and iec958). disabilitating this allows to mic and line in to work.
where can i find this switch in the gnome mixer? i wasn't thinking about installing the whole kde... :)
