Request for UK Team forum

While I'm aware that we have a mailing list and I believe that as there are a reasonable amount of uk users and we also have some specific ASDL questions etc come up.

If possible it would be nice to have a forum to answer them. It would also facilitate support and building a community of more local users-maybe possible to even offer free support via phone or meeting-who knows.

It might have been nice for you to contact the ubuntu-uk LoCo contact first ;)

We're currently waiting on ubuntu-geek to patch up some ML integration before we create a subforum :)

I guess I could have, maybe I even should have contacted the uk section-but after putting my name on the south west listing and nobody contacting me and no greatly visible activity on the forums, but talking to lots of uk users on the forums My reason for the direct approach is I remember a conversation about a uk team coming soon with your good self, that was a while back and other loco teams appeared-but not a uk one.

My second reason for jumping the gun is that there are lots of uk users and I've found that if you want something, then its best to ask-as in other situations waiting for others to do it has proved unreliable. If I have broken protocol them my appologies

The decision was taken that we couldn't alienate the existing large ML usergroup and so integration is important.

We definitely haven't forgotten the idea, we've just got to be patient :)

Pricey- Thanks for the feedback, I look forward to the loco team forum as I'm sure it will both be a great way to see who is local and also show new forum members that there are quite a few active UK users.
