Sorry I missed the meeting. I did a feisty upgrade and it took longer than expected. i will be there next week.

How populated is the channel at other times? I spoze I could just drop by and see, eh? I've never been one to remember specific meeting times for chats. This is probably a good part of the reason I make such a lousy TV viewer, too. :D

There are usually at least a few others around. I'm technically always there, as I log the channel for statistics, but there's usually somebody to talk at :P

I'm slowly learning to just bring up xchat and the AnizonaTeam channel. Then I glance over at the exposed hunk of that window every so often.

So, if I'm at the computer, there's a real good chance that I'm around on the channel.

Alot of people have jobs I guess.. If you want a time change bring it up with JohnC in IRC and everyone else. I would be up for a time and day change.

Sorry to bust in on the thread, but you showed up on this page with a system similar to what I'm building.

I'm new to the Ubuntu arena and building microATX: AMD64 X2 3800+ | Biostar GeForce6100-M9 | 2 GB RAM OCZ | 80 GB SG HDD

I will be firing it up next week when I get my last components (CPU cooler and some missing cables). I will need to perform some partitioning and formatting when I start up. Can I do this with Ubuntu or do I have to have W-XP loaded?

Can you give me some advice on the uses of Ubuntu or should I start with standard Linux first? I have never used Linux, always been a Windows user. Any tips, pointers, manuals you can recommend?
