Windows Vista Story - I had to share!!

Seeing all of the collateral "necessary" programs NEEDED just to run and keep running a Microsoft system on your new Vista desktop I am trying to find out just how much money yearly is made by the collateral software companies. What a racket! Write an (IMHO) inferior operating system and then create a multi million dollar business of software needed just to keep it operational. Still, I wonder how much is made. I think that because of the money made from supplementary programs is the reason it has had success, in spite of itself. :)
