Hey y'all!

If there are any places that you have that will let us place a CD stand, list them here.

Note that this is not a place to put ideas; it is for final locations only.

Be sure to include the following information:

STORE NAME LOCATION HOW MANY STANDS and any other important info

Seeing that things are moving kinda slow, I have a few suggestions that I would like to add to jumpstart ideas:

In that post you will find my ideas about where to put boxes... if anyone has some locations in mind, please do post them here. I will be leaving for Florida (Yippee!) tomorrow, and will be back on Thursday, so I will not be able to reply to any of these location requests until then.

I could set out a stack of CDs in the lobby of my school , there are only about 150 people but everyone counts you know :)

I live in roswell and my school is..

Chrysalis Academy 10 Mansell court suite 500 Roswell , GA 30076

That would be great! :)

Just make sure to talk to whoever you need to, so you can get a box in there. Would you like either me or someone else to send you some CDs? How many days of school are left for you?

#5

School and libraries would be great places to start out.

#6

Has anyone successfully been able to place a box at starbucks, barnes & nobles or borders?

#7

Not yet.

We should have some up as soon as we get locations in order, and when we have enough CDs to refill the boxes. :)

#8

This is in the plans in the real near future. We finally have our boxes and CDs so we can try.

I am beginning to think that we should start sending out "official" emails or phone calls to potential locations, so we can see who is the most receptive to the idea, and maybe even score a few locations.

I had a display at ITT Tech 10700 Abbotts Bridge Road Duluth GA

I am an Instructor there and the resident Ubuntu-evangelist. I still have several 64-bit and mac versions of 5.4, if anyone needs them.

If you are interested in putting up a stand, we have the materials and the CDs. (well, my ship-it CDs are somewhere across the US, about 2-3 weeks away)

Do you need some Feisty CDs? We could probably get you some from shipit.

I could definitely use some!

I am planning to do a talk on open source security in 4 cities in the fall. How many CDs do you think you could get? I got 150 the last time, and they go very quickly at conferences. I use CDs rather than flyers for people who are interested in learning more.

I am not sure how many CDs we all have, but if we can spare some, we will see how many we can get you. Since we are not an "official" LoCo yet, we do not have the huge amount of CD flow that others do - yet.
