Compiz not exactly beryl works on my dell laptop with an integrated intell gfx card. Give it a try, let us know how it goes.

Check it out at Beryl Official Site ;)
Its Green! Im typing this on my new dell with integrated graphics and beryl. At first it did not work. gave me a white screen. I reinstalled everything, then enabled the restricted driver for Nvidea. restarted, in bios I changed graphics memory reservation from 64 to 128 (just for the heck of it) and then it worked perfectly! Now to update to ubuntustudio!
it should work on any new(ish/er) integrated graphics card
yep. worked fine with the restricted driver.

Beryl works better on my old GForce 4 MX (lol I know don't laugh) than my GForce 7 (7 something...not plugged up right now) and I actually need to find out how to fix that.
