Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble getting the front panel of my audigy 2 sound card to work so I can plug in my headphones without having to go around behind the computer and plug into the jack there. I tried searching around a bit but I'm not very experienced when it comes to sound related issues. I have the card running fine with alsa so if I could just get the front panel to work too that would be great, any ideas?

i'm no expert either, but as i recall my audigy card doesn't have any place to plug the lead from the headphone jack on the case - you could check and see if yours does. i'm assuming you just added the audigy card as you said you got it up and running, etc.? anyway, i just use a short mini-stereo extension cord for my headphones so i don't have to reach around to the back - aside from it being a little cheesier than plugging into the jack on the case, it's all good... - alan
