Logo ideas

Here's a couple ideas we've had for a team logo. Pick which one you like or post a new one.

One is by me and the other is by GoatTuber. EDIT: Added 3rd by Dr.Danger

I also attached an SVG of mine. Could some vector guru fix my circles a bit?

I think the first one is great!

I like the idea of having the MA in the logo.

I disappeared for quite some time due to life concerns, but have sent in all of the pertinent requests now. (great work everyone getting this started, by the way).

Anyway, I really like the logo with the state in it. I think it provides a more welcoming feel than the other (which is also great, by the way), perhaps resulting in more people being attracted to Ubuntu.

I like the state logo also. I did a quick variation of that logo just to throw around some ideas.

I like Doctor Danger's "Blue Mass" logo.

I would like to say "Hello!!" I'm from the North Shore of Ma and have just stumbled across this forum. I've been using Ubuntu 7.04 lightly for the past couple months (trying to make the full jump into Linux)

I agree, the Blue Mass logo is nice. I did like the Boston Tea Party one, but that might send the wrong signals to our friends across the Atlantic, don't you think?

That first one is awesome! The only thing I would change would be to capitalize the MA. Other than that, perfect!

The second one is much more interesting. To address the political correctness, just remove the feather.

There are no capital letters in the ubuntu font :-\

Thats where I messed mine up, I didn't make it all lower-case. I am also trying to find a matching font to the ubuntu font.

I like Dr Dangers logo with the blue. It makes me think of Kubuntu. Whatever we settle on we should make T-shirts. We are the real geek squad.

I remade the image with the ubuntu fonts and the logo more of the style of ubuntu cleaned up.

I'm not really a fan of political correctness. The feather was for historical reference, since the colonists dressed as Native Americans when they dumped the tea. I think the image wouldn't have made much sense without it. As a side note, I am part Wampanoag myself.

Due to the amount of MS graphics I used in mine, there would undoubtedly be legal issues in using it. GameManK gets my vote, that's a pretty smooth looking logo.

I'd like to see this logo used for the t-shirts:

And for Mass name badges or what ever for volunteers and other mass branding (pun), I vote for team mass logo; team mass is masive, init.

I like the BlueMASS logo very much. Hope to be able to buy a tee when they are available. :D

I have large high-res versions of that blueMASS logo. I also have it in psd format and all the separate images I created to put it together, so it can be altered and changed if needed.

Well I guess one route to consider is tee's from the Ubuntu store and then make the badges be the place for the Ubuntu mass logo.
