Hi guys.

Trying to install SuSE Enterprise 10 and now on ubuntu-7.04-server-i386 on an old Dell PowerEdge 1600SC.

It contains an LSI LogicĀ® CERC ATA100/4ch IDE RAID controller.

I have a RAID-1 logical disk setup via the RAID.

I've tried all instances of the megaraid driver but Ubuntu (and also SuSE) do not find any hard disks.

Any ideas? (I've looked through the forum and although the question has been asked I've seen no fix for the issue)

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps not many "RAID on Dell" users hang out in this forum yet. I would suggest posting or searching the archives of the Dell Poweredge Linux mailing list: http://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge

As I'm facing the same problem, I've run into _this_. Not quite reassuring.

Downgrade your firmware: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2894899

Works out of the box with 7.04.
