Focus Groups

We have discussed dividing the team into several focus groups.

If I understand this right, whichever group we pick is where we should be answering questions. If that is the case than I will pick the forum.

What do you do if you join the wiki group?

Well, we would like to get a wiki going ~

The point of the wiki is to derive a set of quality, standardized answers to FAQ on the forums.

If the Wiki is anything like Wikipedia, I can edit it just fine... whenever it gets created that is. :)

If possible I would like to join the wiki too, when it becomes available

I'm all signed up :) Though I will do some multi-purpose stuff as well.

So what would the Launchpad team do? I could help out a little. I would like to join the Forums group, but if needed else where I will do so.

What does the Hardware focus group do exactly, what's their job descriptions? ..... ..... Never mind I found out that Lord Illiden was in charge and made an Intro sticky.

If you have an interest in helping with the hardware team we could use the help.

Nah I don't think I'm qualified enough to make other ppls "alien" hardware to work. I barely managed to make my own hardware to work :) However if there's more to the Hardware focus group than fixing others ppls hardware problems then I might be interested and able to help.

I'm sort of more interested in what one individual proactively can do, to make (force) companies and hardware manufacturer create products that work directly for the Linux kernel. So that the Linux community doesn't have to clean up their mess all the time. I'm a searcher for truth O:) ( That's what I do best search )

I can obviously help with irc and the forums. :popcorn:

EDIT: compiz too, but only somewhat, so I haven't added my name to that list.

I help out on the forums all the time, and IRC when I can (when my bandwidth is low enough :D)

Forums, I'm there all the time. Plus it's the only one I can get to from work.

I could also help on the wiki.

We now also have the Security Focus Group so if there are any security experts within our team, please join the Security Focus Group. We help out in the Security Discussions Subforum.

PrivateVoid, you can start by adding yourself to the Wiki focus group - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Beginners/Team/FocusGroups/#head-5f775ca51f9683e54da51b688aa179f42b689714 Simply edit the wiki and put your name under that section, then I know to contact you when we start doing wiki work. Thanks man. PS: I would add you myself, but you might as well start learning how to edit the wiki :)

I can't accses the internet at the moment, (through Ubuntu), The Cost of live continus to rise + intrest rates won't move down, (ajmorris will know what I mean) so we can't get broadband yet. And I am busy with windows co my Ubuntu Knowledge won't creap up.

Until we get ADSL, I am stuck with what I got and Windows so far seems to be my only knowledge source.

Ubuntu will have to wait, along with UF (Sorry Guys)
