for wide spread ubuntu !!!

i used to post in [COLOR="DarkOrange"]absolute beginner talk[/COLOR] , but as i knew the goal of this discussion and as am new to ubuntu and also as i really loved this OS i have a big question here that why doesn't ubuntu cover all the terminal commands by an interfaces, wizards and dialogs ??? i believe this is the easies way to let ubuntu be the popular OS all over the world, people used to use windows, so using interfaces became like a tradition for these users rather than typing lines of codes in a terminal, even me, u can consider me not a normal user cuz i am an applications developer, but sometimes i sense it hard to seek such terminal command to do some settings to ubuntu, and i start wondering why there is no interface for this setting?? or does linux as a base for ubuntu been built for special kind of users ????

All gui's are visual interfaces for the command line.

The short answer to your question, though, is no one has written one (a gui interface) yet. This is a complex undertaking and not even Windows accomplishes this (there are a plethora of commands and on Windows for which there is no gui, as any Power User. Worse, in windows you often need to edit your registry).

there have been attempts at this in the past, and I recall seeing a new one just the other day (but I sure can't find it now), EveryGui (http://everygui.sourceforge.net/index.html) shows the most promise, I think, but OneFinger (http://onefinger.sourceforge.net/) and it's predecessors (http://logicaldesktop.sourceforge.net/ , http://segusoland.sourceforge.net/) had some rather innovative ideas. There was also a Google Summer of Code project a few years back with a similar aim (http://www.stanford.edu/~dramage/gci/ ) But to try and answer your question, I think most people just learn to use, and- even if they dont love it- to appreciate the command line for its power and speed of execution.

The command line also comes in handy when your boink your system too.
