any online courses available?

i'm wanting to make my own webserver, but finding docs i can actually understand/learn from is not very easy.

I am not sure if you have experimented with using lamp server. If not I'd recommend it. Easy to get things going and not overly hard to configure. Either do fresh install of Ubuntu Server Edition or follow instructions similar to here: http://fosswire.com/2007/05/29/installing-and-configuring-lamp-on-ubuntu-part-1/

For configuring I am not aware of any online courses, but there are good guides on help.ubuntu.com
