1) True. Security and convenience are most often non compatible goals. If you value convenience more than security, feel free not tu use OpenBSD.
2) True again, but to make your Linux system totally secure, you have to do a great deal of manual configurataion, which not everyone has the time, the will or simply the knowledge to do. OpenBSD is secure by default.
3) True again, but how is it OpenBSD's fault is so few vendors are opening their drivers ? And the few driver it has work perfectly. For example, my RT73-based WiFi USB stick was recognized out of the box in OpenBSD, which was not the case in any other OS.

5) Rubbish. Unless you bloat it yourself, it is way faster than Linux in every way.

What about all those open source Linux drivers and all those open standards? They should be able port those drivers and understand those standards.

Because _Linux_ drivers are not the same as _BSD_ drivers. You can't simply take the source code and compile it on any kernel you choose.
Seriously, last time I tested it it was extremely slow and scalability test confirm this too (and those were the defaults).
If you want a BSD with speed, use FreeBSD. OpenBSD concentrates on security and it does a damn good job of it.

I think you are trolling. Each BSD or Linux distro has a niche, for OpenBSD it is security and that is their #1 priority.

There are also license issues I suppose.
Maybe you need to try a different BSD? I tried PC-BSD and would have stuck with it was it not for the fact I couldn't get my sound card to work.
It was extremely fast at everything it did and I'll probably give it a try again sometime.

HymnToLife is doing the right thing here. As staff he is involved in the thread and it could be seen that he is partial in his decision regarding the thread.
Best would be to report it so another mod or staff member can look at it.
