I have created a graphic to use on display units for the Ubuntu-Arizona CD's. I don't consider this a finished product, and would welcome suggestions, alternates, observations, etc. from anyone in the loco.

Maybe in the free programs area we could start out by say:

Many programs come standard on the Ubuntu Operating System. A few of these include: blah blah blah However, there are literally thousands of programs available for free in the Ubuntu Repositories.

Spelling correction.

affecting or effecting?

I suspect it is the second.

As in "no effect upon your computer to try live CD".

jsonder: You raised an interesting point, and caused me to look up the two words. I believe that it is actually affect. To affect is to cause an action. Effect tis the result of that action. I know, oversimplified, but that's what it appears to be to me, from looking it up.

It will affect the computer, temporarily; they will run another operating system.

It will not effect their computer permanently, as their hard drive will remain unchanged.

That's my take on it. I suspect we shall agree to disagree.

Should be either:

This will not affect your computer

or

This has no effect on your computer

One is an action, the other is a result.

But if it has no affect, it isn't running the live cd.

I does affect the computer but leaves no permanent effect.
