Hi,

The current version (1.7.9) of this library is 4 years old (May 2001).

It is possible to backport a more recent version like 1.7.40 (June 2005) or the 2.0 RC1 (August 2005).

I'm aware that a lot of thing change in the library since the version 1.7.9 like use of STL. In the meantime, why staying with a so old version? Any particular reason?
