I've only just come across this one and think it's brilliant! I've been looking for something like this for ages. Anyhoo, does anyone know any servers that I can join and multi-play?
Please, tell me how to install the new build13: http://xoops.widelands.org/modules/wfdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=2&lid=54 I am not able to find any deb package.
They have switch to newer scons compiler which 8.10 doesn't have - so you have to compile scons first.

How do I play Widelands? I've been building structures for about an hour but I still don't get it. What is the objective and how do I achieve it? I've never played Settlers II. Is there a complete beginners guide anywhere?

The game is far from finished, so I doubt there incorporated objectives yet.
