Most helpful beginner posts

I am just getting into Linux through Kubuntu Fiesty Fawn. It is excellent, I have a few 'Window Worries' but so far I am amazed at how easy it is to load programs and adjust program looks to suit the user, with help from people who know what to do of course. A few days ago I didn't know what a 'Terminal WIndow' was, now I do. My suggestion is to get beginners to rate the helpfulness of threads. This, I believe, will minimize repeat posts and speed up the learning curve. I spent a lot of time figuring out what a 'Terminal Window' was because those who know forgot that it is so simple. It reminded me of a math teacher I had. He was a genius (really). He was amazing but he found it so hard to come down to our level. So instead of the pros having to come down to our level, perhaps it would be possible to set these beginner threads up so that we can help our selves by rating the thread usefulness.

Yes, it's not user-rated, but it has a lot of information, and it is a stick on the Absolute Beginner Talk forums.
