When will Intrepid Ibex alpha 1 be released?

Apparently June 12th.
yup. If you've got anything in mind that you desperately want to pursue for the merge from debian lenny, now is your chance.
I just want to get away from Hardy :(
(I'm a refugee back to Gutsy).
I will like Ibex because the Ubuntu I have come to know will officially support kde4. :KS

(I'm a refugee back to Gutsy). Well as long as you're under the weather with that anyways, it may be a good time to try out a different distro until Intrepid gets here. You'll never know what you might find!
I just found out over the past few days that I still really hate working with RPM systems, because no matter how much better they get over the years, they're still always at least twice as slow as everything else.
Intrepid Alpha 1 will be released 12th June 2008. For details on all releases of Intrepid see this link https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IntrepidReleaseSchedule

The daily builds have been cleared, and I'm guessing they are getting ready.
I have not seen an installer yet in the archives.

:guitar: Also anxiously awaiting...
I saw somewhere that Alpha 1 was delayed, meaning it's not coming out today (the 12) as expected. It should be out in a few days, I think.
How often does the http://www.ubuntu.com/testing page get hit around the time of a new alpha, especially the first? Does anyone have web stats on this. I am less interested in the numbers (which might be confidential etc) than the pattern.
Any news about this ?
Anyone thats a refugee back in Gutsy, Intrepid alpha one is not going to be the answer :(
Its still in a real mess. Xorg breaks a lot and you are quite often left unbootable. Feel free to test it on another machine (infact please do test it on another machine, we need as many testers and we can get) but i'd seriously advise you to wait a few more alphas before you think about putting it on your production/main desktop machines.
Yeah, and what's the deal with calling it an alpha release? I thought alpha testing was for the in-house team? Shouldn't it be beta? Or do they count us as the in-house team because it's so open-source?
I want the alpha 1 wiki, dammit! Wikipedia says there's gunna be a bit of a make-over.

There's no in-house testing team. There are people employed by Canonical to work on QA, but they work in the open, like the rest of the community.
