I'm traveling around Europe for a few weeks, happen to be in a hostel in Prague for a few days, and just noticed that the Ubuntu Developer's Summit is taking place less than a mile away. It's a little late to formally register, but I'd still like to pop in and check it out. Does anyone know if the developers would mind a user just popping in on a lecture or two?
Crashing the UDS?

I was delayed and couldn't get to the Summit until almost 1600 local time, when everything seemed to winding down. (Strangely, persuading two girls that walking 4km to an OS conference will be fun takes a lot of work. :)) I spoke to the guy at the front desk, and he said that there really aren't any more presentations to be given, the Summit is more for the developers to plan and get work done, etc, but I guess he could tell I was disappointed, so he suggested the Wubi installer talk tomorrow at 1400. I've got a Metro pass now, and know the stations. I'll be there.> 23meg said:

You talked to the reception desk, or did you actually go up to the third floor? Sessions end at 18:00; you could probably have caught the last two. And there are many non-developers around (LoCo team contacts and people who do all sorts of non-technical community work) so it's not entirely accurate that "the summit is for developers".
Anyway, see you around.
Wow.. I would love to be able to go to an Ubuntu Developer's Summit and meet all the great people behind the scenes of this terrific project.
:o

You'll have to wait for the next UDS then if you want to do that, the Ibex UDS ended on the 23rd:).
