Guys, This is Sanju from Kerala going to shift from Windows XP to Ubuntu. I've requested a new copy of Ubuntu at the site and started downloadin The Ubuntu Studio over the gprs. it'll take a little time to complete meanwhile can you guys help me out with some of my doubts. Whats the difference between the Ubuntu and the Studio versions? Am new to linux so could you give me directions for installations..

the ubuntu studio contains packages (programs / applications) that are more for a media studio (photography, imaging, video editing etc.), whereas ubuntu desktop is an all around solution for desktop use.
You can install ubuntu and the packages you want afterwards, through the menu Applications > Add/Remove...
well ubuntu studio is mainly for users who have lot of multimedia work to do, like editing, creating new videos/films.
It include loads of audio/video related softwares. If you just like its wallpaper, theme and sound, you can just install them from add/remove program.
