Is it possible to make a sane backport in breezy? Especialy the latest sane-backends(1.0.16). The backport will make it possible to some users to use their cheap scanners, because 1.0.16 includes the genesys backend.

Thnx

Hawkril

PS.: Sorry about my bad english.

Bump this up when we get 1.0.16 in Dapper.

I also would like to see sane 1.0.16 in the repository (backports). That version make my scanner work (finally) When do you think it will be in the repository?

#4

*whenever it enters Dapper*, hence the link and my last comment :)

Apparently 1.0.17 is due out 11/12/05 according to the sane mailing list. I wonder if dapper is waiting to update straight to this version? I hope so, my scanner is waiting anxiously :)

Bump. :D

libsane 1.0.17-1ubuntu3 ready to be backported.

Where can I get the updated sane package for 5.10?

#8

Any word on this? I need it for my old Pa to be able to copy his jokes to pass out when he visits the VA hospital. He got a Lexmark All-In-One for Christmas, and no one bothered to check with me for compatibility (and they only spent $35 at Wal-Mart for it). Blasted new-fangled contraptions!

Is this request out of the loop now it's in deferred?
