I just found the simple [HOWTO mark your thread as [SOLVED]](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UnansweredPostsTeam/SolvedThreads). It occured to me that someone ought to create a similar page to explain and encourage thanking. It took me some time to find the small blue and yellow button, I'm sure it would be helpful to other people. I tried to write the page, but I was denied permission. Could someone with access to that area of the wiki write it?
